is the charm you need to enable the login w/o SMB1

Please elaborate on the context.
Do you mean to add that to /etc/samba/smb.conf on openHABian boxes ?
Always ? Should we make that the openHABian default ? Or depending on what ?

I have hat the problen, that WINDOWS10 (latest patch) does not allow access
to the openhab share anymore. with

ntlm auth = true
(see alaso https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/current/man-html/smb.conf.5.html)

I fixed it at least for my PC.
