XBMC/Kodi Player item type?

Does a Player item type exist for the XBMC/Kodi binding? I can’t get it to work so assume no, but thought I better ask.

A new set of improvements to the XBMC/Kodi binding added some new choices:

Is the choice you’re looking for not among the new possibilities?

Sorry, I mean in a sitemap (BasicUI) there is the player item type that renders a play/pause, next, previous buttons in a simple widget. I can use this with my Sonos, but I get errors when trying to use it with an equivalent xbmc item.

The new widget type is only available in openHAB 2, while the Kodi binding is done for openHAB 1 - so unfortunately, this won’t work.

Gotcha, thanks for the answer. I’ll keep my eyes open for an update to the binding at some point in the future.

Actually there is a 2.0 version of a Kodi binding in the pipeline waiting to be reviewed: https://github.com/openhab/openhab2-addons/pull/1262
