I try to summarize all Xiaomi and Yeelight firmware here with current OH version and firmware version compatability, anyone using Xiaomi and yeelight are welcome to report here, I believe these info will help binding programmer and OH user easily understand condition and consider on hold firmware upgrade or go head solve issue.

(I upgrade this version long time ago, around OH2.2, after upgrade, Yeelight binding no longer work, miio is the only choice as it have to use token to communicate, terminal miio also require token, python yeecli not able to communicate to as well, simple printf command | nc ip also won’t work, except above, it works perfect well with Xiaomi Mi IO Binding since 2.2 and so far no issue discover on this model, Only issue is it have to manually switch ON/OFF, it won’t turn off while brightness equal 0 or turn on when more than 0

Xiaomi Mi IO Binding only works well since OH 2.5, only confirm OH 2.5 M6-1 works well but didn’t do further test yet., Only issue is it have to manually switch ON/OFF, it won’t turn off while brightness equal 0 or turn on when more than 0

Yeelight binding works well but easily disconnect and need issue few command to get reconnect,
from my usage experience, Yeelight unable to control after OH online more than 3 days, OH restart is required to recover connection.
Xiaomi Mi IO Binding works well at least since OH 2.4, Only issue is it have to manually switch ON/OFF, it won’t turn off while brightness equal 0 or turn on when more than 0
