Xiaomi WiFi IR RF Blaster

Xiamo is selling pretty cheap IR Blasters (http://www.gearbest.com/smart-home/pp_229556.html) but are not giving any internals about the protocol.

They provide an Android app. Is anyone able to decompile this or sniff the network traffic?

Maybe we can easily understand the protocol (NEC commands?) and build a binding for this.

From the Q&A section, they say the app connects “through the internet” but doesn’t support connecting by wifi or bluetooth. Hopefully that doesn’t mean that they use a cloud service to control the blaster (possibly with an encrypted channel).
