Z-Wave & event log = too much information

Is there a way to prevents logging events relating to “serial_sof” ? My event log is constantly updated with lines such as:

[vent.ItemStateChangedEvent] - zwave_serial_zstick_0abcsefgh_serial_sof changed from XXXX to YYYY

Everything works perfectly but I don’t have any use for these messages that are logged very rapidly and constantly and they are annoying when I’m trying to watch for specific messages when I make changes to sitemaps or rules.

If you delete the item, you won’t have ItemStateChangedEvents.

openHAB - Filtering event logs

Simple string filtering on the event log. Useful for filtering out high change items that don’t need constant log visibility. Re-posting this as it’s own thread on the recommendation of other members. I also recommend reading Taming openHAB 2 Logging and Log4j2 Sample Config which this was based on. I was not aware that the sof and ack channels were just counters. Due to the lack of documentation for the Aeotec Z-Wave USB stick I was under the impression that they were necessary for the correct operation of the binding.
