The binding doesn’t send anything to the device. The device tries to send something to the binding - it requests a nonce, which is the start of a secure transaction. The binding responds, but there is then no data transferred. We see this in the log periodically - it looks strange to me as I would have expected the device to then send a command to the binding, but it doesn’t.
However there is no command send to the device to change its state, so the device has maybe reset or something.
Decades ago, I had a wallbox mounted touch dimmer. Tap the face for on/off, hold for dimming, standard pre-smart thing. Sometimes acted by itself, grr. Eventually connected problem to climate e.g. seemed to do it when humid. Even more eventually, completely removed for a poke around, and a crumb of plaster fell out of the device.
A bit of loose debris presumably giving false touch signals as its conductance varied with humidity in the wall.
