Not my idea at all but thought it was pretty ingenious, especially if you have lots of mice and need to reload often…
Very clever use of a Zwave reed switch! Not sure a rat trap will work on mice though but the concept should work. To address his problem with getting the epoxy to stick he could probably just roughen up the surface with 120 grit sand paper before gluing. Or just use some hot glue from a glue gun, it doesn’t have to stick hard and fast forever.
I may have to think about this for my pocket gopher problem…
