Since using OH3 the Astro Binding, gives a Wrong zodiac.

it would be helpfull if you would give some more context to your question.

How your thing- / item-configuration looks like?
What is the expected and what is the current output of the astro zodiac channel?
Did you set-up your geo-location?

It works fine here.

Ok, I see - you can fix this by using the Astro Sun Data Thing Type instead of Astro Moon Data.

Even after reading a bit about the differences between the sun- and moon-sign, I don’t get it. But I don’t want to, to be honest.

When I reassign the item to the zodiac thing (12:55:59) I get de correct zodiac, but only for 5 minutes until 13:00:30 then it goes back to the wrong zodiac and stay there.

Same problem with the Moon_Age it switches every 5 minutes automatically.

It seems, you’ve used the UI to install and set-up the astro binding, right?

So you have 2 things in your Things overview, like this - one for the moon, and one for the sun-data?

Click on the Thing for the sun-data and switch to the Channels tab → scroll down to the zodiac group and open the channel zodiac#sign

Is your item linked there?

right I’ve used the UI to install and set-up the astro binding

the moon, and the sun-data are online like your picture

and my item is linked to the zodiac_sun

it stay’s right for 5 minutes and then it switches to pisces

Hmm, maybe this is some caching issue - maybe try to restart openhab and clear your browser cache.

Directly on startup it changes to the wrong zodiac after startup and clear cache from my browser.

I changed the zodiac item to text in the etc/openHAB/items/default.items file with the following parameters:

String Zodiac_Sign “Sterrenbeeld [MAP(zodiac.map):%s]” { channel=“astro:sun:local:zodiac#sign” }

The only deference I can see with your parameters is:

My things are “astro:sun:local” yours are “astro:sun:lhome”

This sounds contradictory to me - did you used the UI AND the textual definition to set up your files? This shouldn’t be done, at least not for the same binding, as it could confuse the system and might produce doubled values which could lead to the behaviour you describe.

Maybe it would be a good idea to wipe the current configuration and start from scratch with this binding with only one approch - either the user-interface OR textual-definitions.

After that, I’m out of ideas, what could be wrong in your setup.

No I just made 1 item in the items file for testing, before everything was configured in the UI.
