Zwave Log File Spam

I’m curious if there is a way to suppress the following log file entries in the EVENTS log.

I get many of the following, in various group lengths…

Is there a way to suppress these messages so I can keep cleaner logs?

2017-10-11 15:10:59.816 [ItemStateChangedEvent ] - zwave_serial_zstick_ad34bxxx_serial_ack changed from 834 to 835
2017-10-11 15:10:59.822 [ItemStateChangedEvent ] - zwave_serial_zstick_ad34bxxx_serial_sof changed from 2321 to 2322
2017-10-11 15:10:59.977 [ItemStateChangedEvent ] - zwave_serial_zstick_ad34bxxx_serial_sof changed from 2322 to 2323
2017-10-11 15:11:00.029 [ItemStateChangedEvent ] - zwave_serial_zstick_ad34bxxx_serial_sof changed from 2323 to 2324

Not in the events.log. events.log logs out all the state changes for all of the Items regardless of binding and since you are using Simple Mode, an Item gets generated for all Channels of all Things.

Where am I using simple mode?

The name of the item in the log looks like a Thing ID. In simple mode OH creates an item for each Channel using the Thing ID. People tend to name their Items something more human friendly.

I’m guessing you are either now using Simple Mode or you have at some point in the past. Or you actually created these items with the same name as the Channel they are linked to.

Or… It’s the default item name in HABmin and/or PaperUI. For sure it’s the default naming convention in HABmin.
