I have a rule based on Astro that turns on zwave outlets. Last night, it was triggered, and the events.log shows that the items received ON commands, but they did not turn on. This usually works flawlessly but I do think that it’s probably happened before.
What may have happened? Where else can I look?
Zwave does not guarantee delivery of a command. If your network is poor or particularly busy congested commands can be lost.
The best way to see what’s going on is to put the add-on into debug or trace level logging and review the logs when a command is lost.
You can also look at the neighbors map on the Controller Thing (“See network map”). If the graph doesn’t look well connected, you might need to add one or more mains powered devices to improve the mesh.
