After upgrade from OH4.x to 5 the BMW binding was working until I had a problem with my internet provider. When internet was working again I tried many days to get the binding / account online without succes. At the moment after completing the captcha it comes back with the same message. What to do?

BMW has changed the api, there is a workaround with MQTT.
it really looks like the binding is broken now. The cardata API looks promising, but it takes some time until it can be incorporated into the binding. Really bad, but the good thing is that from now on an official API is available, no reverse engineering required anymore

based on the discussion in the topic of the now deprecated MyBMW binding, i created a solution to receive data through the new MQTT datastream.
