You have to put:
https://192.168.178.74:8080/smarther/smarther-auth.php
In my case I had to omitt ‘:8080’ and insert also ‘html’ in the directory
VPN is not needed, you could leave an open port, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Everybody could access your Raspby.
