[BTicino/OpenWebNet] New openHAB2 binding ready for testing

I’m currently using the binding to control BTicino alarm via Aux command and CEN+.
The binding does not support Alarm yet (e.g. Alarm Status).

Ciao, can you explain me what do you mean exactly? I understand that you use the binding for all and you configured a command for the alarm. So How do I configure the aux command? at the moment in the current solution I have, it’s an aux command as well, but I do not have the knowledge to explain how it works. I suppose it’s just a command send and read by the alarm. In fact I had to “open” these command in the alarm configuration.
I only need these:
“STAY_ARM”: “941##",
“AWAY_ARM”: "91
9##”,
“NIGHT_ARM”: “943##",
“DISARMED”: "90
9##”,
and stop.
These ones are read by the alarm and translated into specific commands by the alarm system.
Can anybody explain me how can I do the same?

AUX command is not supported

Until AUX and/or Alarm will be supported natively by the binding, I’ve configured on the MH200N a scenario triggered by CEN+ that send AUX command on the bus. CEN and CEN+ are already supported.

Ciao Marco, I do not have a mh200n. I own a MHS1 and the 10inc screen. The screen is able to manage the alarm 3486. CEN scenario can be defined also via the screen or a mh200 is necessary?

It seems the use of Semantics for the rangeController V3 tag is still work in progress for the openHAB Alexa skill… but when it does arrive it will open up lots of possibilities and the Routine work around will not be needed.

Looks like you have both v2 and v3 style Alexa tags. Try it with just switchable [ “Switchable” ] and not the Alexa= etc… Thats quite new

Interestingly using supportedRange=“0:100:10" means raising or lowing the blinds can be done in useful amounts without stating how much in the voice command. eg ‘Alexa, raise the the blinds’ and they move 10 points. I found that ‘raise’ the blinds command actually lowers them. I assume its because it raises the number towards 100 ie towards fully closed

There is no point for me to control the blinds if open command closes them and vice versa…

You may not have to wait for long. Its quite an exciting improvement for openwebnet BUS item integration with Alexa.

HC4451 seems a basic chronothermostat not attached to the BUS system. Probably it’s not connected to your BTicino gateway. Did you find the thermostat in the Inbox after discovery?

The device is connected to the BUS and also to my gateway. The thermostat is found in the Inbox after searching.
After the indication I have now been able to visualize “heating is”.
Changing the temperature from “Setpoint Temperature” does not change the “Target Temperature”.
It’s possible to change the “Heating is” status manually?

Ciao, the PaperUI configuration is working I would like to provide .items and .things file manually to have full control. I do not understand what I am doing wrong because I created the files, and a dummy sitemap. When I use manaully created items it always says (for every kind of object)

Forcing the start of the “Heating Is” returns the following message in the log:

You do not provide enough information for us to be able to help.
Post here the relevant lines of both .things and .items files.
AND always use “code fences”, otherwise it’s impossibile to look at your configurations.

You continue not to read carefully the README, which is the only thing we are asking you to do.
In the README it’s stated that “Heating is” is of course a read-only parameter (see Read/Write column), and that makes sense because you cannot directly start the heating using the thermostat or the gateway or the binding, you should instead set setpoint temperature to a lower level than current temperature. In your picture above Temp=20°, Target Temp=18° so how would you expect that the heating is started ???

This is wrong behavior: changing Setpoint should also change Target in manual mode.
Try the following:

  1. set debug level to DEBUG (see README_beta for info)
  2. set the mode to Auto
  3. set the mode to Manual
  4. change the Setpoint Temperature to something higher than current tempo, for example 23°
  5. if the Target Temperature does not change, copy here the log using code fences.

You should also tell which BTicino opwenebnet Gateway (F454 ? MyHOMEServer1 ?) are you using, and which openHAB version.
