Hey,
I’ve just installed OpenHAB2 in a jail on my FreeNAS box (detailed system information below). At first I hesitated because FreeNAS/FreeBSD is not a supported OS, but everything seems to run smoothly at the moment.
After successfully connecting my trusty old HomeMatic CCU1 and its devices I went on and installed a new tradfri gateway and after setting it up with my lights I tried to connect it to OpenHAB2, but while talking to the offical App, it doesn’t seem to answer to OpenHAB2:
2019-06-17 21:28:02.609 [hingStatusInfoChangedEvent] - 'tradfri:gateway:90a154ec' changed from UNINITIALIZED to INITIALIZING
2019-06-17 21:28:02.625 [me.event.ThingUpdatedEvent] - Thing 'tradfri:gateway:90a154ec' has been updated.
2019-06-17 21:28:02.632 [hingStatusInfoChangedEvent] - 'tradfri:gateway:90a154ec' changed from INITIALIZING to UNKNOWN
2019-06-17 21:29:26.880 [hingStatusInfoChangedEvent] - 'tradfri:gateway:90a154ec' changed from UNKNOWN to OFFLINE (COMMUNICATION_ERROR)
I can ping the gateway from an ssh-session to openhab’s jail, so I don’t think this is a regular network issue.
I have searched for and read https://community.openhab.org/t/problems-linking-tradfri-gateway/36284.
To be sure it isn’t just a bad security code I re-read the QR-Sticker with a Barcode-App and copied the security-code part (without the serial number / MAC address) via the clipboard.
Sadly there was no improvement to my previous 10 attempts and I’m out of ideas for now.
What can I try next to pin down the issue or make the two boxes talk to each other?
