Google Home Error linking openHAB account

I had successfully linked Google Home to openHAB a while ago, but then for some reason, I was unable to connect my Google Home to openHAB.

So I unlinked the device, and tried to add openHAB again.

After allowing the OAUth2 application authorisation, I get a

“Linking your openHab account” message, that is shortly followed by

“couldn’t update the settting. Check your connection”

When I log on to myopenHAB, I can see the the Google assistant voice control has been added to the account as an application, but the Home app (android), is not adding the device.

I’m using the latest Home app (1.29.20.20) and am at a loss to know where to start identifying the cause of the problem and find a solution. The “Check your connection” message doesn’t make sense, given that to add the device, I’ve logged onto my openHAB account, and successfully allowed OAuth2.

Mine is working again now

I have restarted openhab, removed google assistant from the myopenhab site and also removed openhab from Google and readded both

I’m having the same issue. The moment when I authorize Google Assitant on Myopenhab, the following error lines appear in my logs. Do you have any idea? (BTW, I have a standard openHABian environment.)

I’m on Xubuntu Linux (desktop computer), Xulu (latest), and OH2.4.0 1308 snapshot, and I too have “connection refused” errors and warnings. Strange that it is both an error and a warning.

It seems that my problem was caused because i don’t use openhab with the default http ports. The https was working but the http isn’t but i wasn’t aware of this problem because I always used the https port. Now i fixed the http problem and the Google Assistant is working.

Hi,
I’m trying to integrate my Google Home and see the same errors. I haven’t changed any standard ports, I’m on http (not https). What can be wrong, where to look?
To add to it - my cloud connector seems working well:

• notifications have been working fine for a long time
• I created a test item (to make it [ “Switchable” ]) I can see it state being changed in the event log on the myopenhab.org website.
  For whatever reason when Google tries to connect to it to make initial pairing, the Jetty rejects connection…

Edit - I’m getting the same error when trying to access the web link

Edit2 - I reinstalled connector, I recreated myopenhab.org account (2x) and still same error. There must be someone who knows how to bite this problem. I noticed that OpenHAB app (Android) is failing with the same error when connecting remotely. Notifications work ok though. I started having impression that I’m missing some piece of configuration eventhough none of the official guides state anything in addition to what I’ve done.
I’m thinking - can it have anything to do with this:

At a minium the Cloud Connector Binding. Jetty may need to be put in trace log level too, though I wouldn’t expect much useful from that. Like yours or exactly yours. All of the similar threads I recall reading had no connectivity between OH and myopenhab.org, or had problems exposing Items to IFTTT through myopenhab.org. This is the first thread I’ve seen that indicates remote connections being refused. And if the problem were in the configs, and you didn’t change the configs, then we would…
