Is it based on it or a complete rewrite?
How about local connection from openHAB to the BSH appliances?
From reading the manual it seems, that the Bosch app can live without a permanent internet connection.

I asked similar to @FanFan one day, but did not get an answer yet:

Hi Stefan, two questions: are you going to proceed with the developement or is it now just up to the community to improve/complete? “… not complete local…” What is that supposed to mean? Is the BSH cloud service just required for the authentication procedure? So can we keep the communication with the appliances in the local network (after some initial authentication phase)? I’ve read in some Bosch manual that “offline” use (read: without internet connection) of the Home Connect app inside…

Since I don’t have my BSH appliances (yet), I can’t test/verify the local operation myself.
Would be nice if you can try and shed some light on this
