Jetty service locator error on start up

Hi - I’m getting the following error in the log on start up. Things seem to be running, but I have to qualify that by saying that I’m a noob and all I have so far are a few items reporting temperatures delivered by MQTT

I notice that when I bring up the UI in my browser I get asked to give my location and ignore that. Not sure if it has any relation.

any suggestions would be much appreciated.

And does the error go away if you do give your location?

yes, thanks. I configured my location in the Paper UI / Configuration / System / Regional settings with latitude and longitude and also configured the country setting and I am not seeing the error anymore. I am gld this worked as I did not want to have to change the config on my web browser to provide location

This might be worth filing an issue for on the ESH repo, if you are willing.

Thanks for bringing up the issue with java.lang.IllegalStateException: ServiceLocatorImpl(__HK2_Generated_1,2,950579) has been shut down.

I noticed I was having the same issue and the same fix of resetting my location (language, country and 4 decimal lat + long) worked for me :+1:

i am willing - how do I do that? Thanks

Was this already reported and if not where is the best place to report that this is still occuring in Openhab 2.4 stable? Link above is ESH and guessing that is no longer the place.

Ignore the date stamp this is from openhab.log still testing to see if the fix mentioned works.

The logs fill up with a heap of similar warnings, only given the first of many.
