LightwaveRF Binding Updated

I’ll try adding my socket later then and see if it works for me too

Didn’t upload video :weary:

It’s defo working, just restricted

Oh and you can see my period of broadcast in the photo - 16… don’t know what it refers to, been on longer than 16 days, off within 16 weeks… god knows

Ok, I’m getting both channels now with the later version

And the commands all work?? (Both ways)

Not got that far yet, just configuring them all via a scripts file at the moment so I can copy to my running instance later

Yeah I really need to do that, removed everything from my system while I test.
All good though, just gotta drop all my files back in and away we go again. Too easy with text files

Oh and I’ve put it out there about the link plus date channel…

I’m happy now, got every smart thing in my home through a binding now, Shelly not long got added, just fixed intesisbox for my aircon and now this is done. A very happy boy…
Now I just got to get all my rules finished :weary:

@xela 2 gang dimmer is working both ways for me.

@delid4ve Ah, you’re doing it via Control under Paper UI - I’m doing it via Sitemap where it looks very different

Yeah I did do on habpanel with the modal picker, kinda worked but was a bit more finicky
To the centre goes brighter but then to white, to the outer dims it.
Does work though
Tricky to get red on the Color wheel but easier to dim

Hsl sliders on habpanel seem to be the best option - you could set up a dummy choice item to send specific values to the channel

I’ll have a little play with the channel,
Saturation has to be at 1.0 for a Color to display (otherwise white led)
Luminance can only go between 0 & 0.5, anymore it changes to white led (0 turns it off completely)
Hue: Red only works at 0, not at 360
Purple: 240 - 360
Cyan: 121 - 239
Green: 120 only
Yellow: 1 - 119
Red - 0
White: (saturation below 1.0)

All my switches are added via things and items files now.

The basics are working (switch and dimlevel) in both directions.

2 gang dimmer is working too.

Will add the thermostat and do some testing on there.

Sorry, never actually submitted this, just typed it hours ago

Are you manipulating the batteryLevel for thermostat?

21:39:00.450 [INFO ] [smarthome.event.ItemStateChangedEvent] - lw_Heating_batteryLevel changed from 0.00000000 to 0.49000000

This should be 49%

Got about half my house on the binding now. This is beginning to look good!
As a side benefit, the more items I add to the binding and eliminate from the scripts the more free memory I’m seeing on my overstretched Pi3.

@delid4ve Never defined things in text files before, I’ve always just let the Paper UI create them - but now I’m getting nervous! Could you PM me a sample of how you do it?

Happy to send you a copy of mine, it has dimmers and the thermostat on it, not all items yet though

Right here:

When I’m in office tomorrow I’ll send you my text files so you can see.
You have so much more control.
Takes a while to get them all set up but once they’re done it’s easy.
Took me 30 seconds to add everything back to my system earlier and it functions exactly as it did before.

I’ll get changed tomorrow, add it to git so I don’t forget :+1:

Other than that everything seem to be good?
Got there in the end. That was a marathon and I am literally shattered from it :exploding_head:

I’ve tested the basics, needed to get all my rules and everything fixed with those first. Will spend some time tomorrow testing the extra bits out and seeing how they behave.

Thanks for all the work you’ve done on this, I was heartbroken when I bought all my gear and realised there was no binding!

Ditto, when I bought it I thought I could use v1 binding… damn

All good as it’s pushed me to learn java which I need for my portal/app development for my company. (Well C#/MVC/.net, but they look very similar)

Sure they’ll be some little niggles along the road but fundamentals are there now

Be good if someone can push the amount of items to fetch at once and get the ‘structure not found’ etc so I can devise the best way to handle the errors

Any idea (without hiding) how you can stop the things being discovered when you’ve created them via .thins?

That’s one of my pet hates and on my list to look at down the line. Literally every binding I have does it when using text files and changing the name from the discovered name

I was just typing that I don’t see that with all bindings, but realised I had in fact set some to ignored, so that was why.

Yeah, I agree, that’s really annoying behavior, especially as it takes it out the list automatically, but comes back after a rescan

Have you got any: discovery result blah blah in your logs still…
Put them up as they appear if you have so I can see

It’s ok ran a scan…

Think I’ve solved it, will test tomorrow.

Just uploaded a new version (1.0.4) that stops discovery of already added devices.
