Have the same problem… I removed the connection and re-added it, only to be told it no longer works… Thanks google! 
I just tried re-add the connection. I get an error, “cant etablish connection, check your connection”, in Google Home app.

Hi all,
We have hit the free tier limit.
I havent received the info, just saw that in the log files at Google.
The openHAB Google Assistant was and is working, it was Google blocking until payment tier was accepted. Strange move.
After certain amount of time or requests per month, Google switches to paid tier. Actually we have a loooot users, using this integration.
It should work fine now again. Have fun!

- Exposed the items via UI interface in Configuration > Services > IO > openHAB Cloud > Configuration
- Checked, rechecked and rechecked again items file for an error but it seems to be ok

Try clear your openhab cache and tmp folder, and then reboot. I once had success doing this.
$ sudo /etc/init.d/openhab2 stop
$ sudo rm -fR /var/lib/openhab2/cache/*
$ sudo rm -fR /var/lib/openhab2/tmp/*
$ sudo /etc/init.d/openhab2 start
Not helped.
Next ting is to remove all tags, and just leaving one behind to test. Then add some more, if the test goes fine.
(You have to have at least one tag before Google Assistant will work).

Hmm thats odd.
Just a wild shot… Could you try a tag without spaces… Like this: [“Lighting”]
Just for one item only.
If that this doesn´t work. Try delete the connection in myopenhab.org and re-add it from Google app on device.
