OpenHAB 2.5.12 via Docker on Synology: Stuck after welcome screen

The installation of the latest OpenHAB 3.x on a Synology with DSM 7 (Java 11) via Docker works really well. To get rid of my Raspberry with the old OpenHAB 2.5.12 i would like to install OpenHAB 2.5.12 via Docker on DSM 7. It runs - but only to the welcome Screen Website “Select Package Minimal, Standard, Expert”, after that it gets stucked. The log file is full of errors:

Error downloading mvn:org.openhab.ui.bundles/org.openhab.ui.paper/[2.5.0,2.6)

Has anyone a running a “retro” OpenHAB ( - well the last release is only a year old …) on Docker? Any hints what could help my installation? Thank you forum!

(why not move to newest release 3.x? Simple: i’m not familiar with 3.x - and so i keep on using 2.5.x till i sloooowly convert to 3.x)

Thank you very much - this hint from you helped “restoring” this classic piece of software!
I just changed, as described in your link, one line in a config file and it runs again!
I think there are many users out there with OpenHAB 2.5.12 …

Very good! If you like retro classics, you can now also use your Pi for RetroPie.
