The time for the final 4.2 is coming closer and I’d like to share with you our schedule for the release, so that you know by when PRs need to be merged in order to make it into the 4.2 release:
June 29: Milestone 4 (Feature freeze)

July 7: GA
Please help making it another great release by testing and reporting critical issues that you still see!
We have reached milestone 4 and with it the feature freeze!
The release notes are as usually available on GitHub and discussions around it belong in this topic .
For the remaining days, please help us on extensive testing and fixing any critical bugs that might still be there and need to be fixed before GA. Thanks!
Just five days after our last milestone build, we have now reached code freeze and present the first release candidate of openHAB 4.2 with it! It contains a few small fixes and enhancements over M4 and the maintainer group is not aware of any critical issues so far.
Let us use the remaining 3 days to test everything in detail. If you come across anything critical that you believe still needs to be addressed, please let us know by filing a GitHub issue or by commenting on the well-known topic. Thanks!
