Openhabian-config password

  • Platform information:

    • openHAB version: zulu11.45.27-ca-jdk11.0.10-win_x64

This is really a Newbie question but I am just starting out.

I’m trying to install Mosquitto using the console based on a step-by-step guide (for adding Tuya devices)

The guides indicates to use the console with the folowing command: sudo openhabian-config

this requests a password on the console, I have did quite a few google searches and although most indicate the password is “openhabian” but that does not work…what am I doing wrong ?

Sorry forgot to indicate
zulu11.45.27-ca-jdk11.0.10-win_x64
with
openhab-3.0.1
or
openhab-2.5.12

openhabian is the default password of that user. I think during setup you are asked to change the password.

I figured that too so I tried the admin user password which did not work either

You have a total misunderstanding of what you are trying to do. If you run OH on Windoze you cannot install mosquitto. The console command if for openHABian which is Linux.
