Isnā€™t there at least a way to silence the logging of ā€œcontrol.internal.WebSocketConnectionā€ until a stable fix is ready?

Hi,

is there anybody who use his/her Echos as a doorbell?

Regards,

Tom

Yes, Iā€™m using my Echoes to get notifications of ringing doorbell.

So you use announcements or alarm?

Iā€™m using announcements. At the moment Iā€™m using a shell script via executeCommandline to trigger it until the binding is fully fixed.

Can you show your shell script? Iā€™d like to use it. Thanks.

Thatā€™s the script Iā€™m using: https://github.com/thorsten-gehrig/alexa-remote-control

Yes. There is.

  1. Go to openhab console via ā€œopenhab-cli consoleā€. Password is: habopen.
  2. Then execute: list -s | grep amazonechocontrol
  3. Then execute log:set WARN org.openhab.binding.amazonechocontrol

Hi there guys,

Iā€™m not sure if iā€™m doing correctly when asking in this thread. If Iā€™m wrong Iā€™m sorry for posting.
I just set up OH2.6 (stable) on my RPi4. I used this binding before in OH 2.5 and ran into the memory leak problem (which I found out about after reinstalling everything).

So after setting up OH again I installed the binding via PaperUI and tried to login into my amazon account (which succeeds when logging in via alexa.amazon.de and worked perfectly in the previous installation) but when using the login page of the binding i get the errormessage: ā€œEnter a valid email or phone numberā€ (which I double checked) or Iā€™m running into an infinite 2FA login loop which gets me back into the initial login page.

Iā€™m kinda going crazy because I have absolutely no idea what Iā€™m doing wrongā€¦

Any ideas?

Best regards

Christian

I just installed the binding but I run into problems already: When opening the login site, I am forced to reset my password so an OTP is send. After entering that OTP, I only get ā€œInvalid redirect toā€¦ā€ as error and my only option is to click on ā€œTry againā€. AM I doing something wrong or is something broken? My amazon account has 2FA activated, if that makes a change

I had the same issue today and was fixed by latest SNAPSHOT 2.5.7 located here:
https://ci.openhab.org/job/openHAB2.5.x-Addons/ws/bundles/org.openhab.binding.amazonechocontrol/target/

I just did and it works like a charm!
Thx for the quick response!

Just one more question: Do I have to keep track of binding updates manually - since i installed the .jar file?

Using the jar, you have to do the updates manually.

But the updates are merged, see this post:

Hello,
I also installed the current snapshot today because I am also hanging in a registration loop (2FA with the smartphone).
I also deleted the cache etc., but unfortunately it still doesnā€™t work.
Do you have any ideas what else I can do?

Best regards

Sascha

Try to disbale 2FA for a limited time untill your registered your account with OH. I have not enabled 2FA and tested, sorryā€¦

Than you a lot. Now it works

for me, no login is possible.

Login-Screen shows ā€œPlease enter a valid email or phone numberā€ā€¦no chance to login anymore.
I have not enabled 2FAā€¦

Somebody any ideas?
