[SOLVED] Detect if Homegear crashes?

Hello,
I have OH 2.5 on Openhabian with a CC1101 and homegear running. Connected are Thermostates and Window contacts (max!). Every now and then, the homegear service crashes. Not regularly, but every some weeks. I can stop the service and restart it, and everything is working again. But I get to know that it crashes not before my rooms are cold.
Is there a way to detect (by openhab) if homegear does not work anymore? Maybe if no messages arrive within a certain time?

OK, found it in forum. You need to put the homegear items in a group an check if this group changes within a certain amount of time (timer). If no change happens --> Problem with homegear.
