It looks like you are missing a runtime dependency on ical4j.

I don’t know anything about the CalDAV addon but it may be a sign something has gone wrong with your install. I assume all its dependencies should have been installed when you installed the addon.

Maybe try uninstalling the addon, clear the cache, and reinstall the addon.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can help if the problem persists.

What version if the binding are you using?

You can try a snapshot version if @rossgb advise does not work.

caldav-personal:
https://openhab.jfrog.io/openhab/libs-pullrequest-local/org/openhab/binding/org.openhab.binding.caldav-personal/1.15.0-SNAPSHOT/

caldav-command:
https://openhab.jfrog.io/openhab/libs-pullrequest-local/org/openhab/binding/org.openhab.binding.caldav-command/1.15.0-SNAPSHOT/

To use these snapshot versions, uninstall the binding via PaperUI then place the jar files in usr/share/openhab2/addons and restart OH.

FYI, these were last updated 26 Feb 2020.

1.14.0 │ mvn:org.openhab.binding/org.openhab.binding.caldav-command/[1.14.0,1.15)
1.14.0 │ mvn:org.openhab.io/org.openhab.io.caldav/[1.14.0,1.15)
1.14.0 │ mvn:org.openhab.binding/org.openhab.binding.caldav-personal/[1.14.0,1.15)

Try uninstalling via PaperUI then use the snapshot jars posted above. :crossed_fingers:

I copied the jars to addons

I installed the docker container again, and setted up the config step by step …
… but this message is still there.

I looked again at the feature list, and i see that version is 1.14.0

I have the snapshots in addons folder, but i think i haven’t installed them correctly.
How can i do it via the karaf console, i do not want to use paper ui as much as possible.

You put them in the correct place because this message is from openHAB trying (and failing) to use them:

16:40:30.621 [WARN ] [org.apache.felix.fileinstall ] - Error while starting bundle: file:/openhab/addons/org.openhab.binding.caldav-personal-1.15.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Could not resolve module: org.openhab.binding.caldav-personal [255]
  Unresolved requirement: Import-Package: org.openhab.io.caldav

It looks like @H102 missed that you need a snapshot for “org.openhab.io.caldav” too:

https://openhab.jfrog.io/openhab/libs-pullrequest-local/org/openhab/io/org.openhab.io.caldav/1.15.0-SNAPSHOT/org.openhab.io.caldav-1.15.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

You can look them up in karaf with:

bundle:list | grep -i caldav

You will get a few things like this:

212 │ Installed │ 80 │ 1.14.0 │ openHAB CalDav Calendar

N.B. “Installed” means they have been found “Active” means it is actually working.

Yes, I did miss that and thanks for adding the link. :+1:

openhab> bundle:list | grep -i caldav
261 x Active x 80 x 1.15.0.202002261230 x openHAB CalDav Binding
262 x Active x 80 x 1.15.0.202002261230 x openHAB CalDav Calendar
263 x Active x 80 x 1.15.0.202002261230 x openHAB CalDav Command Binding

Since the few last past minutes i got no errors … now trying with some calendar entries.
