I’m running openHAB 4.3.5 and would like to upgrade to version 5.
I’m running my current system as follows:
openHabian
Raspberry Pi 3
Raspbian 32bit
The new system will be running on a Raspberry Pi 5 (64-bit).
What would be a sensible approach in your opinion?
Thanks and best regards
Daniel

I believe I’ve read @rlkoshak write somewhere that it’s best to start with installing 4.3.5 on your new machine, then ‘restoring’ your backup (which might not be the correct verbiage), and only then upgrading.
But my attempt to find that post failed…

Thanks. That sounds logical, and that’s what I’d thought about it.
But I couldn’t find it directly here in the forum or in the documentation.

That worked. First, migrate openHAB4 to the new hardware. Then upgrade to openHAB5.
