Hey,
does anyone know if there’s already support for the new Xiaomi MiaoMiaoCe Thermometer? If not, is it possible and/or already in Progress?
not sure what protocol is uses (I found some reference for RF 2.4GHz… most likely ZigBee). Do some more research on its connectivity options.
I like their statement though !!! (in the product pdf from their official website…)
I should post this one on http://www.engrish.com/
I am really sorry for the spam, but this is hilarious … @vzorglub & @rlkoshak : this is reddit material ![]()
“Performance Failure” technical table with a reference to a “chaotic display” ! ![]()

at least the documentation is entertaining.
I saw that some of the homeassistant guys are fiddling with this devices via bluetooth dongles.
From what I found, it is using ZigBee, so in theory, you should be able to use the ZigBee Binding from here: Zigbee binding
I saw some references to ZigBee in relation with this unit… nothing concrete, so I don’t post a link. If I find some document, I will upload it.
But that would require additional ZigBee Receiving/Sending hardware as well?
Of course you would need a USB Dongle. Check that thread for compatible models
That wouldn’t be a valid solution for my case. I already have a bunch of power consuming devices / hubs ![]()
I was hoping there is a way to use it via the Xiaomi Mi Gateway that I already have. Maybe I just go with the compatible devices without display.
Now you mention this fact? ![]()
Yeah I’m already using this fantastic binding. Its perfect. But it’s not supporting the MiaoMiaoCe. But thats basically caused by the missing compatibility between the gateway and the sensor itself.
I think I will fallback to this: Aqara Temperature, Humidity and Pressure Sensor.
