Announcing openHAB for Garmin

Stable v1.2.0 is now available in the stable app. Below is a summary of the changes. For more details, see the milestone on GitHub.

  • Added Wi-Fi support, see the user manual for usage details and limitations (multiple issues)
  • Improved support for Edge devices, including light/dark mode and an enhanced menu implementation (multiple issues)
  • Added a workaround for a Garmin API bug that caused app crashes (#215)
  • Added support for Setpoint/Slider elements with fractional values (#257)
  • Improved rendering of status texts in all widgets they now resize with the label font (#284)
  • Fixed issue where submenu closed automatically if opened before its data was loaded (#290)
  • Added support for the soundvolume_mute icon (#289)
  • Added support for Forerunner 945 LTE (#248)
  • Updated to Connect IQ SDK 8.4.1

The beta app is now also at v1.2.0. This is only a version update, with no changes compared to the latest release candidate.

For the future, I have created a separate thread for discussing the beta app and will keep this one focused on announcements and discussion related to the stable app.
