I’ve no idea what or why, because I am only new to OpenHab2 myself.
What I can tell you is that I saw somewhere that it is recommended to run Azul Zulu 8 (an Openjdk variant of Java) for OpenHab2 to work.
I can confirm that I’ve noticed a few things no working correctly before I swapped to Zulu Embedded 8
FYI
I run ODroid XU4s and Intel netbooks with OpenHab2, all with Zulu 8
