Ota: how to upgrade zigbee devices

Hi,

i’m using the zigbee binding (within openhab 4.1.1). I read the documentation about ota updates. I’m not sure, how to upgrade my devices. Is it done automatically by the binding? Can i start it directly?

The openHAB-Console shows the following:

openhab> zigbee otaupgrade
Address Ieee Address State
0A88/1 3C2EF5FFFEEE71BB OTA_UNINITIALISED
2F69/35 0015BC00310204FA OTA_UNINITIALISED

Thanks in advance
Daniel

There’s a little bit of info on the zigbee otaupgrade here: Purpose of Zigbee otaupgrade commandline

Thanks!. I knew this thread, allready. But it’s not clear to me:

  • have i to download firmware manually?
  • what means the output of “otaupgrade”?

Does anybody have an idea?

Same question here so I would be happy for any update…

openhab> zigbee otaupgrade
Address Ieee Address State
1C1F/1 84BA20FFFEC4D344 OTA_UNINITIALISED

I also found an image? in the zigbee file:

ZLL_WS_4f_J_Release_10.03.32.02.zigbee

I’m sorry to drag you in but maybe you can help @chris

I’ve now switched to binding MQTT with zigbee2MQTT.
Zigbee2MQTT has nice support for OTA updates, including a corresponding GUI.
