Unfortunately, my magic mirror stopped working. I used it to visualize the floor plan of the house, including the state of lights, window contacts, and temperatures.
So, I bought a (quiet cheap) 14" tablet on eBay, configured the main UI (for the first time), and also displayed the floor plan using HABPanelViewer (I had to fix it for Android 13/16).
I also added weather, camera feeds, and a large analog clock to the page:
In addition, it should be integrated into an acoustic panel. So, I cut out the existing supports, cut holes in the felt, installed a power outlet with a USB power adapter, glued two magnetic rings to the back, and screwed the counterparts to the wall.
I’m very pleased with the result; the tablet fits perfectly into the panel. The magnets hold securely, and no additional mounting frame is needed. The flat cable is barely visible.
